You may have noticed that we took a little hiatus here at Living Loved. To put it simply, parenthood has been far more and far better than we ever bargained for. Over the last month, the Groves family has been adjusting to the new world of one parent at work for ten-plus hours per day and one parent working from home while taking care of miss Eden full time.
If you have spent much time with an infant, you will understand the craziness that is our life right now.
Parenthood–motherhood and fatherhood–is the most heart-warming and heart-wrenching thing we have ever experienced. Our world revolves around a tiny human, her needs, her feeding schedules, making sure she doesn’t do a front-flip off the front of the couch (again–yes, that happened. She is fine. We are still recovering).
We, Lauren and Austin, have had to learn to exist on a non-existent schedule. Nothing is exactly the same day-to-day. In the midst of all this change, these rollercoaster emotions, the new giggles, the 2 am cries, and the piles and piles of laundry, the one thing that has remained constant is our God’s faithfulness.
His faithfulness has remained the same throughout our new days as parents, through our married-no-kids years. It was the same when we were dating, before we knew one another existed. He was forever the same in His promises, love, and sovereignty before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs. He is the same God who walked with our ancestors in faith. He was present before the foundations of the world, making plans for His Son to be the Savior who’s Spirit would walk with us during this season and the seasons to come.
He is our faithful King. And if you are found in Him, He is the same in your world, no matter what mountain or valley you are walking through.
That’s why we need your help. We are calling for written submissions from you. How has God shown His faithfulness in your life? How do you live as a loved child of the King?
We, like you, don’t need how-to-guides. We don’t need to know ten ways to get our baby to nap.
We need stories. We need ebenezers, reminders of God’s steadfast love in the quiet and the crazy. From years present and years past. From heartache and triumph.
If you would like to write for Living Loved, check out our brand new Submissions page, where you will find all the instructions.
Thank you for your patience during this time of sweet transition. We so desire to put out regular, ad-free content so we can all walk alongside one another, living as loved children of God. Sharing your stories is one way we are making that happen. Check out past Guest Posts for insight as to what your submission might look like.
We are so grateful for all the Living Loved community. Your encouragement keeps us sharing. Your stories keep us humble.
